Starbucks has big plans to become more sustainable, but it can do one tiny thing, too.
Green initiatives are in the news this week, especially at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where Prince Charlesit is vowing to take by 2030 in order to make its global operations more environmentally friendly.
But I discovered that couldn’t order my drink ahead via my phone when I planned to use my cup. I had to roll up to the order screen and place a voice order, or take my cup inside. Just to make sure I hadn’t missed something on the app, I phoned Starbucks Customer Service on Wednesday morning. It could go next to the “redeem” designation on the home screen, where Rewards users can apply their stars. It could go on the customization page for each drink. It also could live on the “review order” page.
There’s a correction for that, however. The order clerk could add the $0.10 back into the cost of the drink and then charge the full amount.
