‘Captain Marvel’ delivers at weekend box office for Imax
Imax Corp. IMAX, +1.51% said Monday that the $36.1 million debut of Marvel Studios' film "Captain Marvel" marked the best March opening for the entertainment technology company. The latest superhero installment starring Brie Larson was the fifth biggest Imax opening of all time, the only movie in the top five that isn't a sequel, and the second-highest Imax opening for a Marvel film globally. Domestically, the movie tallied $14.1 million on 411 Imax screens.
