India hopes to finalize its crypto consultation paper soon, and is working to determine its role in consensus around global crypto regulation, a government official said. But did he hint which way India would be going? By amitoj

India is close to finalizing a consultation paper on crypto after consultations with organizations including the World Bank and International Monetary Fund , according to a government official.

It is unclear whether the consultation paper will influence the country's crypto legislation, which has yet to be presented in parliament. "Whatever we do, even if we go to the extreme form, the countries that have chosen to prohibit, they can't succeed unless there is a global consensus," he had said.
