A former Martin County deputy crashed his squad car earlier this year, and blood tests revealed his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.
Sgt. James Foster Jr. crashed his car into a tree on February 23. After medical personnel deemed the cause of the crash to be a medical episode, Foster Jr. was later found to have also been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
