Israeli actress Gal Gadot is planning to host a screening of Israel's conflict with Hamas, with the footage provided by the Israel Defense Forces.
The screening will showcase 47 minutes of the attack Hamas made on Oct. 7 to a curated audience, with the showcase spearheaded by Academy Award-winning director Guy Nattiv, according to a report. Gadot hosting the screening is notable because, beyond being a famous Israeli actress, she is also an IDF veteran."As a filmmaker, I swore that these images of October 7 would not be forgotten, and the world would see them," Nattiv said.
Details regarding when the screening will be held, as well as who will attend the screening, are not yet available. Prior to landing major roles in Hollywood, including the lead role in 2017's Wonder Woman, Gadot served for two years in the IDF, which included time during the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war. Israel requires most of its men and women to serve in its military once they turn 18 years old, with men required to serve 32 months and women required to serve 24 months.
