“I accept that as a minister what I did was wrong under Section 165. I accept full responsibility for my actions and apologise unreservedly to all Singaporeans,” said Iswaran. “I am indebted to my friends and grassroots leaders for their unstinting support, faith and encouragement. The fifth charge was for obstructing the course of justice by making payment of $5,700 for a business-class flight he had taken from Doha to Singapore in 2022 at Ong’s expense.
