Another round of storms are possible just a day after a deluge caused flooding throughout the region.
The Weather Service warns that some storms could produce damaging wind gusts, large hail, and an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain. It comes after 2 to 8 inches of rain fell in Northeast Ohio on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
The threat of more heavy rain means there’s a flash flood watch for Northeast Ohio in effect until 8 a.m. Friday. The flooding from the Wednesday night storms has receded, the Weather Service says. Flooding occurred Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon, but water has since receded. Excessive runoff could cause flooding along rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone areas.
