John Paredes says it took him two days to get the decorations up, and he isn't done yet. He will be adding smoke machines on Halloween evening. As night falls, the yard takes on a whole new level of spookiness.
The eye-grabbing decorations and eerie lighting are a tradition for Paledes. This is his 10th year decorating his front yard for Halloween.Paredes says he finds a lot of the decorations when people are throwing them out. "Most of the time it's just stuff that just pops in my head and I go with it. Some things that I do store in my backyard are bulky and heavy, and I know I'll use every year," Pulido said."Stuff for graveyards are easy to store. I have a garage that I store a lot of the skeletons in."The ghoulish figures and skeletons strategically placed throughout the yard make it a captivating spectacle.
