Nate’s breakdown was the aftermath of an argument with his father, who came to him after his win at the school’s homecoming football game to critique his performance. Their disagreement leads to a physical altercation that results in Nate screaming, crying and repeatedly banging his head on the ground in order to make his father let go of him.
