An Australian man who stopped over in Singapore before flying to Phuket had his holiday cut short when the Thai authorities barred him from entering their country as his passport had a page of visas torn out.
Arrangements were then made for him to return to Australia on a Jetstar flight that was scheduled to depart at 6.55am on Nov 20, 2024. A flight attendant felt alarmed when she heard him. She spoke to her managers and the captain, who decided to remove Moncrieff from the flight as a precaution. He was handed over to the Singapore authorities and was taken to an arrival immigration counter at Changi Airport Terminal 4.
DPP Lim told the court: “The accused was agitated when he stated this, although he did not raise his voice or use vulgarities. tried to calm the accused down in order to facilitate his repatriation.”
