Foxx says he is mentoring Vave — as he did for Ed Sheeran, Nick Cannon and Ne-Yo back when they they were on-the-rise stars.
Jamie Foxx is setting the record straight about his relationship with Sela Vave amid his breakup with Katie Holmes.
He said Cannon and Sheeran crashed at his house when they were trying to make it in the biz — and claims it’s a similar story with Vave. “She’s singing broken down Beyoncé, playing the guitar and I said ‘How the f**k did this happen?'“ he recalled. “So, we took her under our wing.” He went on to say that he had a conversation with Vave’s mom “and she put her trust in me. We want to make sure she has the opportunity to show you the talent we saw. All of the unnecessary hate for the woman, just because the guys are coming here and they’re working hard, but when a girl does it, she has an ulterior motive. Stop that sh**.
