A Scotch created by GlenAllachie master blender Billy Walker has wrested the prize this year after Taketsuru won in 2018 and 2019 with its 17 and 25 Year Old whiskies respectively. Founded in 2008, Spirit of Hven is Sweden’s third pot still distillery, and this particular release is made out of 88% Swedish corn with a dash of rye, wheat, and barley thrown into the mash bill as well.A legendary grain whisky producer, Fuji holds on to this title following victory in 2019 with its 25 Year Old Small Batch.Don’t be fooled by the Gaelic name, this new make comes from British Columbia in Canada.An Australian whisky from a Sydney distillery claims the prize here.
