Jeff Bezos, founder and chief executive of Amazon.com, wrote in an Instagram post on Feb. 17 that he has set up the Bezos Earth Fund to combat climate change.
He is putting in $10 billion of his own money “to start,” will fund “scientists, activists, NGOs – any effort that offers a real possibility to help protect the natural world.” Bezos intends to start issuing grants in the summer.
