Jennifer Lopez pays tribute to Kobe Bryant: 'We will miss you forever.'

On the eve of the 2020 Grammy Awards, the 41-year-old former Los Angeles Lakers star was killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna was also the flight. In a social media post J.Lo says she and her partner, the retired baseball legend Alex Rodriquez, have scrolled through Kobe’s feed, and remembered the superstar baller’s special moments on and off the court.
“This is the truth that rings out the loudest,” she writes in a post accompanying a happy photo of the Bryants. “Family is what matters most. We are all feeling sadness from this loss, but all I can think of is that it is a grain of sand compared to what Vanessa must going through right now.” Kobe, a five-time NBA champion and scoring machine who once blew up for 81 points on the Staples Centre court, the venue of the 2020 Grammy Awards, is consistently in discussions on the greatest players of all time. He retired in 2014 with the ultimate send-off game, scoring 60 points against a hapless Utah Jazz.
“To the other families who are suffering from this unthinkable tragedy, may God be with you all,” writes Lopez. “Kobe you meant so much to so many and we will miss you forever. Thank you for your work ethic, your inspiration and your heart."
