The Jet2 flight to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Leeds Bradford Airport this morning
A Jet2 plane had to make a quick landing after declaring a "general emergency" soon after leaving Leeds Bradford Airport.
The plane, which is a big Boeing 737, was seen flying in circles over Leeds Bradford Airport just after it started its trip. Then it had to go to East Midlands Airport instead.Simon Hinchley, of East Midlands Airport, said: "A flight had to make an emergency landing at East Midlands Airport this morning, this was dealt with in line with our emergency procedures."
