Second-year quarterback Zach Wilson had 77 passing yards in the New York Jets' 10-3 loss Sunday to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
: “When everybody inside the building and everybody outside the building wonders if they have a QB. That, is when you step up and prove you belong....or you go to the bench. Zach Wilson is at that point!”
Wilson was, in a word, terrible Sunday. He connected on just 9 of 22 passes for 77 yards. Wilson’s performance was so bad thatTwo games against the Patriots this year, two awful performances by the second-year QB from Brigham Young. In 26 second-half plays, the Jets generated two yards. You have to try to be that miserable. Really try. But get this: Wilson had seven second-half drives. The furthest he drove the Jets was to his own 35-yard line.
