Joe Biden said U.S. Soccer should immediately pay men's and women's teams equally, 'or else when I'm president, you can go elsewhere for World Cup funding.'

Biden, who was vice president in the Barack Obama administration for eight years, is presumed to be the Democratic presidential nominee who will challenge Donald Trump for the White House this fall.

U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner wrote, in a 32-page decision, that contracts previously negotiated from the women's team rejected the same pay structure as the men's national team . "Accordingly, plaintiffs cannot now retroactively deem their CBA [Collective Bargaining Agreement] worse than the MNT CBA by reference to what they would have made had they been paid under the MNT's pay-to-play terms structure when they themselves rejected such a structure," Klausner wrote.
