John Farnham has made his public vocal return, two years after undergoing throat surgery, through the release of an audiobook version of his memoir The Voice Inside.

Farnham’s sons, Rob and James, had shared that their father initially mistook the tumour for an ulcer. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m an egomaniac,” Farnham said in the excerpt shared by publisher Hachette Australia. The memoir, The Voice Inside, co-written with Poppy Stockell, who also directed Farnham’s recent Logie-winning documentary of the same name, delves into his remarkable career.
