, minister in charge of mental health and addictions, said “co-ordinating efforts across government and integrating services” is key to making these programs and services more navigable for young people and caretakers.Article content
When asked why he felt JHSS was well positioned to administer these services, Fraser said there were a number of reasons. For one, JHSS has a footprint in several cities around Saskatchewan with offices in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw and Prince Albert. In the community, Fraser said that JHSS already runs seven youth homes in Saskatchewan for kids aged 12 to 18. It also runs a lodge in Regina which supports youth in the LGBTQ community, offering support and resources. JHSS also works as a prisoner advocate organization and while that is a core tenant of the group, there are other areas of concern for the group.
