PUTRAJAYA: There is no need for an emergency to be declared in flood-stricken Johor, says Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
He said while the matter was not discussed by the Cabinet, the meeting did look at how assistance could be extended to flood victims in the state.
Fahmi said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who went on the ground to see for himself the situation informed the Cabinet on the need for bailey bridges to be built as soon as possible to ensure connectivity.
