The Yuba City Police Department announced on April 5 that it's added Wellness Officer Percy, a brown-and-white rabbit, to its force. Officer Percy will reside at the station.

Officer Percy serves the police department as a support animal. The brown and white rabbit was discovered on Oct. 21, 2022. "Most enjoy his company, while some are still getting used to the idea of a rabbit being inside a police department," the police department's April 5 Facebook post said.but was not claimed by his family.
