In a new interview with Zane Lowe on Friday discussing his album Bieber got misty-eyed when asked what the moment he met Eilish was like for him, as just a few years ago, he was an up-and-coming superstar in a similar position as the 18-year-old songstress.
"If she ever needs me, I'm going to be here for her, but yeah, just protecting those moments because people take for granted encounters," he said, wiping away tears. "I just want to protect her, you know? I don't want her to lose it, I don't want her to go through anything I went through. I don't wish that upon anybody. So, if she ever needs me, I'm just a call away.
Eilish saw the interview and took to Instagram to urge her fans to "stream changes." She shared the interview clip alongside a number of photos showcasing the songstress as Bieber's biggest fan, including a snap wearing JB's merch, her poster-covered bedroom and a side outside her door that reads, "Billie's Room: Forever Belieber."
