The agreement follows a three-day strike involving 75,000 healthcare workers in five states.

Kaiser Permanente workers picketed Oct. 5, in Baldwin Park, Calif. Health care workers walked off the job in five states and the District of Columbia to protest wage and staffing levels.

Kaiser and its unions had been at odds for months over pay, outsourcing protections, and staffing issues. More than 75,000last week, staging what labor organizers billed as the largest health-care worker strike in U.S. history. Tentative labor agreements typically have to be ratified by workers before they can be finalized.
