Thinking of a weekend trip to Austin? Kalahari Resorts in Texas just opened a new outdoor waterpark expansion in Round Rock complete with new slides, a swim-up bar and a 900-foot adventure river.
Located just outside of Austin, the new expansion adds options to the already existing park. New pools have also been added alongside private bungalows and a children’s area with a zero-entry pool. The new swim-up bar has a 1,100 square foot pool for adults only.“Kalahari is dedicated to continuing to improve our resort, so guests have beyond-expectations experiences when staying with us,” said Gerson Velasquez, general manager of Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock.
The new adventure river is meant to emulate a beach with zero-depth entry, waves at various speeds and a lazy river for those looking to lounge. The river features deck sprays, waterfalls and bridges.
