Philadelphia Eagles safety Kevin Byard, recently acquired from the Tennessee Titans has picked off Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott three times in two games and, after one, celebrated on the team's star at midfield.
Philadelphia Eagles safetyThat star was inside AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, and Byard beelined straight for it in the center of the field to celebrate an end zone interception in a Monday night game four years ago when he was with the Tennessee Titans.
Maybe there was another, less-heralded reason. Byard, it turns out, has proven to be a fly in the ointment of Dak Prescott’s game. “Definitely the first one,” he said when asked if he had a favorite. “It was kind of my coming-out party. My first Monday Night Football, primetime game. So, it was definitely an exciting moment for me in my career.”
“Over Dak’s career, he wants to push the ball down the field,” Byard said. “I wouldn’t say that’s different this year, but I will say that first and second down, they really want to work more of the quick passing game and things like that.
