Kia está llamando a taller a unos 320.000 vehículos debido a un problema por el cual el maletero no se puede abrir desde adentro.
La medida abarca modelos Optima del 2016 al 2018, híbridos Optima del 2017 al 2018, y los modelos pequeños Rio del 2016 al 2017.
En documentos publicados el jueves por reguladores estadounidenses, Kia dice que la base del candado del maletero puede agrietarse y por lo tanto se hace imposible abrir el maletero desde adentro. La Administración Nacional de Seguridad en el Tráfico en las Carreteras dice que una persona dentro del maletero podría verse atrapada.Los concesionarios podrán reparar el candado de los maleteros.
