In the last hours before Alexis Baca was found fatally shot at a Colorado trailhead, whenever her car was captured on surveillance video, a Ford pickup truck was usually close behind.The vehicle sightings were called a break in the investigation after the 25-year-old Baca was found dead on July 24 by hikers on Flagstaff Mountain, near Boulder, Colo.
Hobirk in turn reached out to a Las Cruces man, Jaime Alonso Moore, and the two men and their girlfriends drove the 700 miles to Fort Morgan. He claims she had a gun in her hand and shot at him, and that he fired back in self-defense with a 9mm handgun.
