Authorities are asking for the public’s help in the unsolved killing of a man shot to death in Birmingham more than four months ago. Anthony Darniel Knight, 47, was gunned down in his vehicle on April 6 after police say he was followed for miles.

West Precinct officers dispatched to the neighborhood arrived to find Knight unresponsive inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene. “As everyone can hear, this is a very emotional scene,’’ Fitzgerald said at the time. “There are a lot of family members on the scene, and everyone is just trying to figure out why would somebody just gun this person down in the middle of the roadway in a residential area.”Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
