NEW YORK — For a half, or most of it, the Rockets seemed to enjoy themselves. They exchanged baskets with the Knicks, got a few highlight moments, checked out Madison Square Garden.

The Rockets could have hit a wall playing the second game in a back-to-back against a team playing after three off days. But beginning with a Julius Randle 3-pointer to end the third quarter, the Knicks tore through a 30-7 run to build a 33-point lead and get the blowout win that seemed coming when they began the game scoring so easily.

He made a good effort at that, with his shot bouncing off the back of the rim and away. With that, the Rockets finally got a stop in the second half at that basket.
