Korean government report reveals BTS and BLACKPINK are the most beloved K-Pop artists internationally
On March 10th, according to the '2023 Overseas Hallyu Report' which was published by Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Foundation for International Culture Exchange, BTS and BLACKPINK were the most popular K-Pop stars.
25,000 respondents age 15 to 59 from 26 different countries, including the United States, China, and Japan were surveyed for the report. The survey was conducted online from November 11th to December 7th of last year, asking questions related to Korean cultural content. When asked about Korea, 14.3% of respondents chose K-Pop as the first thing that comes to their mind. It is then followed by Korean food , Hallyu star , K-dramas , and IT/Brand products . 31.3% of respondents chose BTS as their favorite K-Pop artist, followed by BLACKPINK with 10.8%.
