We break down SchoolSpirits episode 6 with star Kristian Flores, who plays SImon, and discuss whether Maddie's killer will be revealed in the finale of the paramountplus series:

Warning: SPOILERS for Episode 6 of School Spirits. With new episodes dropping every Thursday on Paramount+, School Spirits season 1 is building up to an explosive finale. Maddie's killer is still on the loose and everyone in the series remains a suspect. However, given recent events, some characters appear more questionable than others. Next to her mom, Maddie's best friend has been the most determined to find her and prove to the school that she's still alive.

Kristian Flores: Anything that's difficult, I feel that actors always have the most delight. That one is particularly beautiful and striking because, here you have two friends who want the same thing, but can't discuss any of their discoveries with another. It's kind of like, I don't know, I wouldn't compare it to a husband and a wife, but it's one of those relationships where two people want an end goal but they can't communicate. There are too many secrets.

Nicole had a line that was just like, "Good morning Maddie," but then they said, "[Nicole, tired.] Good morning, Maddie." I'm like, "Why did they add 'tired?' Are they just trying to give her some kind of circumstance to deliver the line or...?" I'm like, "What happened the day before?" So maybe I can throw that in.

I think one time, Maddie came to school, and she looked really pretty, but Simon knew that something that lasts a lot more is friendship. Even in my personal life, I can relate to that. I once met a woman who was so incredible that the first thing I told her was my name and that I had a girlfriend so that we could stay friends for as long as possible. I didn't have a girlfriend at the time—I totally lied to her.

But because you can't, you get frustrated with her. And so he snaps at her at the dance by hanging up on the phone call because it's just a complex human characteristic to act oppositely from how we feel. But over the season, you can expect him to hold her more. I think they're going to hold each other and you can expect that relationship to form by the finale.
