League City's $2.55 million in sales tax revenue for January was the most the city has ever garnered for that month.League City was among several Bay Area cities that set records this year for sales tax revenue earned in a January.

Webster's total of $1.72 million also set a record for a January. That total was 2.38 percent greater than the previous high mark of $1.68 million set for that month last year. But, the $951,616 it did generate was 20.5 percent greater than the $789,737 produced in January 2022. That percentage increase was the highest year-on-year growth in the last three months for the city and the second highest in the last 14.
