OTTAWA — Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc continued to refuse to release names of MPs believed to be aiding foreign powers, arguing to do so would be irresponsible.
“The NSICOP report that was recently released reveals that parliamentarians including members of our house in the House of Commons, knowingly and deliberately assisted a hostile foreign state to the detriment of the people of Canada,” he said. “This places a cloud of suspicion over every single member of the House elected members. Do you know the names of these people?”
“The RCMP can confirm there are investigations into a broad range of foreign interference in Canada, including matters which intersect with democratic institutions,” said Sgt. Kim Chamberland.
