The organization said Thursday that the funds will be aimed at helping low-income families, the elderly, individuals facing job disruptions and children who rely on school lunch programs.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.and will be used on efforts to get meals to those who need them.
“With millions losing their jobs and programs like school lunches in jeopardy, making sure people aren’t going hungry is of the utmost urgency," said Powell Jobs.
