'Let them see it.' Trump says he doesn’t mind if public sees Mueller report.
By Felicia Sonmez Felicia Sonmez National reporter on The Washington Post's breaking political news team Email Bio Follow March 20 at 1:47 PM President Trump on Wednesday said he doesn’t mind if special counsel Robert S. Mueller III releases his report to the public when it is finished, amid signs that the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign may be winding down.
The House last week voted overwhelmingly to release Mueller’s report in its entirety once it is completed, but the resolution was blocked by Sen. Lindsey O. Graham in the Senate. “Explain that, because my voters don’t get it, and I don’t get it,” Trump said. “Now, at the same time, let it come out. Let people see it. That’s up to the attorney general . . . and we’ll see what happens.”Trump took aim at Mueller, who has spearheaded the investigation for nearly two years, as someone who had written his report “out of the blue.”
