An East Dundee letter to the editor: It doesn't surprise me to see so many writers who appear in the Daily Herald opinion pages are out of Washington D.C., which only seems to cater to the beltway.
It doesn't surprise me to see so many writers who appear in the Daily Herald opinion pages are out of Washington D.C., which only seems to cater to the beltway. I even find many of the reports from The Associated Press carefully choosing words and phrases that are visibly slanted to one political view.
Read them carefully, and you will see it with your own two eyes. Usually what they don't report on will speak volumes as to which side of the aisle they favor. Maybe it's just me, but I seem to get more information and better"fact-based" opinions from Daily Herald readers than I do from some of the columnists and news agencies. Many letters from readers are smart, speak from both ends of the spectrum and usually have some great points to make in a limited amount of space. This is a good opportunity to increase the opinion page for letters, more than just on Mondays.
