Used for centuries, the fungi has compounds that boost nerve growth.
“Extracts from these so-called ‘lion’s mane’ mushrooms have been used in traditional medicine in Asian countries for centuries, but we wanted to scientifically determine their potential effect on brain cells,” said study co-author Frederic Meunier from the Queensland Brain Institute,. “Pre-clinical testing found the lion’s mane mushroom had a significant impact on the growth of brain cells and improving memory.
Lion’s mane mushrooms grow on old or dead broadleaf tree trunks. Like many fungi, they’re composed of a visible–the bottom structure that looks like roots. Both the fruiting body and mycelium have compounds with potential health benefits. The team studied how compounds in the mushrooms affected brain cells and found that it promoted the neurons to extend and connect to one another.

At the rear, the bladed LED lights provide a futuristic look. Not only sublime to look at, the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is also sensational to drive, courtesy of; the most powerful engine available, the lighter weight, as a result of the extensive use of carbon fibre, the 8-speed Touchtronic III ZF gearbox, adaptive damping and incredible stopping power from its Carbon Ceramic brakes. The Shooting Brake is still a strict two-seater, but one conceived as an individual and exceptionally practical GT.
