Patti LuPone, seen here in the recent Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's "Company," is scheduled to perform Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts at Utah Valley University in Orem.Poets Nan Seymour and Joel Long will read from their works at an event celebrating the Great Salt Lake, part of the City Art Reading Series, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
, at the Salt Lake City Public Library’s Marmalade branch, 280 W. 500 North, Salt Lake City. Seymour is eating as poet-in-residence at Antelope Island during this year’s legislative session, and is writing a book, “irreplaceable,” that is billed as “a collective love letter to the lake.” Long is currently advocating for the lake, working with Brolly Arts on a project, “Evaporation.” The reading Wednesday is free to the public.
