Los hospitales de South Bay registran un aumento de inmigrantes en los ya abarrotados servicios de urgencias

El gobierno federal no dice nada sobre por qué no se coordinan mejor las necesidades médicas menos graves.

Al igual que ha ocurrido con los refugios de emergencia, los hospitales de Chula Vista informaron esta semana de un aumento del número de inmigrantes que acuden a los servicios de urgencias.

En la última semana, añadió un funcionario de Sharp HealthCare el viernes por la mañana, 21 pacientes de este tipo llegaron al servicio de urgencias del Centro Médico Sharp Chula Vista. Tres fueron ingresados. Una vez prestada la asistencia, añadió, los hospitales se ven obligados a organizar el transporte y el acceso a otros servicios de la comunidad, lo que les quita tiempo para sus tareas principales.
