More Singapore workers are turning to gig work, seeking the flexibility and autonomy it offers, according to a recent report by Jobs On Demand . The whitepaper, “Empowering Flexibility: A Deep Dive into Singapore’s Gig Work Landscape with Jod,” revealed that the gig economy is most evident in healthcare and hospitality.

The whitepaper states that gig workers earn between S$14 and S$20 per hour on average. However, Jod stressed that as the gig economy grows, improving gig workers’ satisfaction and retention is crucial. This can be achieved by creating a supportive environment with good rewards and benefits.
