There's a simple solution to get your patio area looking fresh and moss-free before warmer weather arrives.
Cleaning expert Nancy Birtwhistle shared a simple trick on BBC's Morning Live to make patio slabs look "like new". She suggested using washing soda crystals, which can be bought from most supermarkets for around £2. According to WalesOnline 'Clean of Queen' Nancy claimed: "This is a really good one because they do get green and when they're wet they're slippery of course. "When the patio's wet just sprinkle them on and leave them, but you've got pets and thinking I don't want them paddling around and then licking this stuff you can put it on and then scrub it off." Nancy demonstrated the effectiveness of this method with before and after photos, impressing presenters Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton. You can buy a 1kg bag of Dri Pak Soda Crystals from Tesco for £2. Alternatively, a 1kg bag is £2.50 at B&Q. And Amazon is selling a cleaning bundle with Citric Acid, Soda Crystals, Bicarbonate of Soda and cleaning gloves for £16.29.
