Man accused in Takeoff killing released on bond
Patrick Clark, 33, accused in the death of Migos rapper Takeoff in downtown Houston, makes his first appearance in court on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at the Criminal Courthouse in Houston.
Police contend Clark shot Takeoff on Nov. 1 following a disagreement outside the 810 Billiards & Bowling venue in downtown Houston over an earlier dice game that likely led to someone losing $100,000, according to sworn affidavits from police. The investigation revealed that multiple people opened fire into the crowd during the melee, but only Clark's rounds struck the rapper.
During the recent bond reduction hearing, 232nd District Court Judge Josh Hill ruled there was a lack of evidence to conclude Clark is a danger to the community but said he worried that Clark could be a flight risk.
