Terrell Savage faces a 22-year prison sentence for the 2018 killing of Maurice Lewis, 19, in Millville.
A Millville man indicted on a murder charge after he shot and killed a driver in 2018 faces more than two decades behind bars under a plea agreement reached this week.
Savage was outside of his house when a vehicle pulled up next to him and a window was lowered, he said during questioning by his attorney, Michael Ortiz, as part of the plea hearing on Tuesday. In addition to first-degree murder, Savage was indicted in 2019 on two attempted murder charges, several weapons offenses, hindering apprehension and tampering with evidence.
The prosecution agreed to recommend a 22-year term in prison, with a requirement that he serve at least 85 percent of that time before he’s eligible for parole. Sentencing is scheduled for April 14.
