A man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run collision in Antioch that left the victim with severe injuries, the Antioch Police Department said.
The man voluntarily surrendered on Friday at 8:18 a.m. Police also recovered the car used in the collision, a white 2004 Toyota Solara. The collision took place early Thursday afternoon. At around 12:45, police received a report about an injured person in the road at the intersection of Deer Valley Road and Rocky Point Drive. The man had severe injuries and was airlifted to a local trauma center in critical condition.
Police are still investigating the incident and are asking Antioch residents who live near Deer Valley Road and Rocky Point Drive to check their security camera footage for possible evidence, especially between 12:30 and 12:50 p.m. on Thursday.
