Judge Salvador Vasquez sentenced Roger Duszynski III Wednesday to three years on home detention and another three years probation for his role in the Jan. 2, 2020 death of his 2-year-old daughter.
The couple had five kids and were “overwhelmed”, his lawyer Thomas Mullins said in court. Duszynski worked intense hours for a trucking company, but ultimately “failed” the child. He had no prior criminal history.
“It’s something he lives with every day,” the lawyer said. He is “beyond remorseful” and should have asked his parents for help, Mullins said.
