He allegedly pointed the gun at employees, demanding drugs.
A man has been charged after he allegedly fired his handgun during robberies at two North Jersey pharmacies, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
Rivera is accused of entering a pharmacy in Paterson on February 8, firing a shot and demanding that employees give him Percocet, morphine and oxycodone pills, according to the criminal complaint. One employee placed the pill bottles in Rivera’s backpack and another employee handed over cash from the register after Rivera fired more shots, court documents said.
Investigators later analyzed the shell casings from both scenes and determined that the same handgun was used for both robberies, according to the criminal complaint.
