A 34-year-old man was wounded when a bullet grazed his head early Wednesday when he was confronted by a group of juveniles while walking with his girlfriend, San Diego police said. The shooting was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Beyer Way near Picador Boulevard in Otay Mesa West. The victim told police he was approached by about seven males.

After a short verbal confrontation, someone in the group fired around seven shots at the victim, who received a grazing gunshot wound to his head, police said. The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital to be treated for a wound not believed to be life-threatening. Police said the victim was unable to provide much information about the people who attacked him. Detectives are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made.
