KIRO 7 News StaffPUYALLUP, Wash. — A man was hospitalized early Tuesday after he was struck by a pickup truck in Puyallup, according to theThe collision occurred just before 5 a.m. on Canyon Road East, just south of 138th Street East, in the Summit Area.
Deputies’ initial investigation indicates that the man was crossing Canyon Road from west to east when the truck hit him as it was traveling northbound. The driver said that he saw the pedestrian at the last second and couldn’t avoid hitting him, according to the PCSD.The road was closed to traffic for about two hours while authorities responded to the scene.
