WILLOWBROOK — A man was killed in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting near Willowbrook, and police are seeking the public’s help in solving the crime.
Officers were called to Imperial Highway and Central Avenue, north of the eastbound 105 Freeway, about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. Carlos Hernandez, 48, of Los Angeles, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported. Hernandez was found inside a light colored SUV, and apparently had been followed by a suspect in another vehicle who opened fire at him, the LAPD reported.
According to Fox11, surveillance video shows the victim was driving the SUV off the 105 Freeway with a car following close behind. The suspect then pulled up close to the SUV, and several shots were fired.
