A veteran skydiver with more than 700 jumps fell to the ground in a neighborhood in Gloucester County, officials said.
Authorities are investigating a fatal skydiving accident in Gloucester County, according to the county prosecutor’s office.
A veteran skydiver fell to the ground in the Stirling Glenn neighborhood in Monroe Township shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officials said.Skydive Cross KeysThe skydiver’s parachute was deployed at “normal altitude” after leaving the plane and appeared to be fully inflated, according to a press release issued by Nadia Mazure, a manager at Skydive Cross Keys.The man had been skydiving for more than a decade and had taken more than 700 jumps, Nazure wrote.
“Skydive Cross Keys’ staff and community are deeply saddened by the loss of a loved and respected member of our community,” she said. Monroe Township Police, Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Federal Aviation Administration are handling the investigation, authorities said.
